For five (5) years after you purchase a TUMI product from one of our travel, business, or bag collections, or two (2) years for any wallet or accessory, from an authorized TUMI store or dealer, you will be covered by our Limited Warranty.
TUMI’s warranty extends to the original owner; it is straightforward and comprehensive, and just part of the total TUMI ownership experience.
First Year of Ownership: Worry Free
With limited exceptions, if your TUMI product is damaged during the first twelve (12) months you own it – including damage caused by normal wear and tear, airline handling, or other transit damage – TUMI will cover all repair expenses, including shipping costs to and from our repair facility. If we determine that the product is damaged beyond repair, we will replace it. If we determine that a replacement product is not available, we will provide you with a product of comparable value. Damages not covered are damage resulting from abuse, cosmetic damage (such as scratched leather or stained fabrics), and incidental or consequential damages, such as damage to or loss of the contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses.
Years Two through Five on travel bags, business cases, cross body bags, totes, backpacks and handbags and for the second year of ownership of wallets, accessories and outerwear: You are covered for manufacturing defects and normal wear and tear.
From the beginning of the second through the end of the fifth year when you own your TUMI travel item, business case or other bag, and for the second year of ownership for wallets, accessories, or outerwear, TUMI will repair any item that is damaged due to normal wear and tear, or defective in materials or workmanship, including any structural defects (such as defective handles, zippers, or locks). For years two through five, we do not cover damage caused by airlines or other transit damage. Damage claims in transit cases should be filed against the carrier. Other damages not covered are damage resulting from abuse, cosmetic damage (such as scratched leather or stained fabrics) and incidental or consequential damages, such as damage to or loss of the contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses. Normal wear and tear for TUMI Outerwear does not include lost or missing buttons, torn fabrics or leathers or cosmetic damage as described above.
Your only responsibility is to ship your item to us for repair, postage paid, or take it to a TUMI store or authorized TUMI dealer, who will be happy to process the repair. In some cases there may be a nominal processing fee. Many repairs can actually be handled in the TUMI store, free of charge. If your item does need to be sent to our facility, we will repair it quickly and ship it back at no additional cost to you. In those cases where our warranty does not apply, your local service center will provide you with an estimate of any repair and return shipping costs that may be incurred.
TUMI GLOBAL LOCATOR: ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
If your TUMI Global Locator has a manufacturer defect, or is damaged during the first twelve (12) months of ownership, TUMI will cover all repair expenses, including shipping costs to and from our repair facility if the product was purchased from an authorized reseller. If we determine that the product is damaged beyond repair, we will replace it. Not covered by this warranty are damages resulting from accident, abuse, misuse, modification, water damage or cosmetic damage (such as scratches, damage from wear and tear, dropping or other hard surface impact or the like).
You Can Expect Years of Quality Service
We do have many customers with well-traveled bags more than five years old, that they would like to have refurbished or repaired. For these customers, we offer courteous, responsive service and the highest quality repairs and refurbishment at a reasonable cost. If we are unable to repair the bag, we will suggest alternative options. Please call your local service center before sending your product for repair or refurbishment to discuss shipping and handling costs and other fees.

Proof of Purchase
Please save your store receipt as proof of purchase. This will be needed to demonstrate your warranty coverage. Additionally, this will serve as proof that your purchase was made at an authorized TUMI retailer. Our Limited Warranty only applies to products that were purchased from an authorized TUMI store or dealer.
Registering with the TUMI Tracer® program records the date of purchase so that your information is in our system. Should you ever need to use our repair services, we can validate if your bag is still under warranty. Not all items we make have a tracer number, but most of our luggage, bags, and business cases do. If the item in question is not registered with TUMI Tracer® it will be your responsibility to provide proof of purchase at an authorized TUMI retailer. Please note: In Hong Kong, Macau, China, Japan and Korea, TUMI Tracer® is not valid for Proof of Purchase. You will need the original store receipt to validate purchase is from an authorized TUMI retailer.
This warranty gives you certain rights, and you may also have other rights, which may vary from state to state, or between different European countries. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
We want you to be fully satisfied with every product that you purchase from TUMI.com. If you are not satisfied with a product that you have purchased, you may return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the purchase price, minus the shipping, handling, gift box, and other charges where applicable. We ask that the product be unused, in original boxes (whenever possible), and with all original paperwork, parts and accessories in order to ensure full credit. Please note: Monogrammed and personalized items, including TUMI Accents, cannot be returned.
Tumi.com returns can be returned to the warehouse and physical TUMI Full Price store. Physical TUMI Full price store returns can be returned back to the store within the original country of purchase only. They cannot return it to Tumi.com.
RETURN SHIPPING IS FREE
You will be provided with a pre-paid UPS domestic label to return your purchase. If you cannot find the prepaid shipping label, please call our Customer Service Department or contact us by email email@example.com
We ask that the product be unused, in original boxes (whenever possible), and with all original paperwork, parts and accessories in order to ensure full credit. Sale merchandise will be issued a credit at the purchased price. Purchases must be returned from the original shipping country.
Unused items purchased on TUMI.com can also be returned to select TUMI full- price locations. Store credit will be issued for items returned without documentation and current merchandise selling price in the currency of the store of return.
Within Tumi.com: Unfortunately, we do not accept exchanges at any time. you must return your product within 30 days of delivery. At that time, a refund will be credited to the original method of payment. You then can re-order a new product on Tumi.com. Within physical Tumi Full Price store: You may exchange an item if it is a current in stock item. Please note: Monogrammed and personalized items, including TUMI Accents, cannot be exchanged.
You can expect a full refund of the purchase price and applicable taxes, minus the shipping, handling, and gift box charges, where applicable, in the same form of payment originally used for the purchase.
Credit for gift returns will be issued to the original purchaser.
Upon returning an order that was purchased with a credit card and a gift card, please be aware that the return, up until the amount purchased on the gift card, will automatically be refunded onto a new gift card first, not your credit card. The remaining balance, if any, will then be refunded to your credit card.
The purchase of a Gift card is not returnable.
Unused items purchased on TUMI.com can also be returned to select TUMI full- price locations. Store credit will be issued for items without documentation and current merchandise selling price in the currency of the store of return.
Returning an Item - Everyday Free Returns Worldwide
If you would like to return an item that you purchased on TUMI.com, please follow the instructions outlined below. Instructions are also outlined on the Return Slip that is enclosed with your purchase(s). Please be advised that the return slip is located on the exterior of your package.
Pack the product(s) securely in the original product packaging, if possible. Please include all paperwork, parts, and accessories. All products must be unused to ensure credit.
Enclose the Return Slip, listing the purchase(s) you are returning and why.
Secure the prepaid shipping label from the Return Slip securely to the carton. Please make sure that the address to which it will ship is clearly legible. If you cannot find the Return Slip, please call our Customer Service Department or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Before sending the return shipment, please remove all extra labels from the outside of the package.
Present the package to any UPS driver, take the package to any UPS customer counter, or drop the package at any authorized UPS shipping outlet. You may also present the package to any physical TUMI Full price store.
Keep the UPS Return Tracking Number for your return in order to monitor delivery status.
Once your item has been delivered, please allow 3-5 days processing time within the warehouse for them to inspect, scan and process the return. Please also take notice, it is to the discretion of your bank on how long it takes for it to show up on your credit card statement.
Return Policy - U.S. Full Price Stores
Merchandise in original, unused condition may be returned within 30 days of delivery for refund when accompanied by an original receipt. Refunds will be issued in the original form of tender. Refunds for cash including traveler’s checks over $5.00 will be refunded in a company mail check within 14 business days. Merchandise returned without a receipt will be credited onto a TUMI Gift Card at the lowest selling price. TUMI Gift Cards may be redeemed for merchandise at any U.S. TUMI owned Retail Store, U.S. TUMI Outlet Store or on Tumi.com. Personalized merchandise may not be returned. TUMI offers a one-time price adjustment on merchandise with original receipt presented in person within 30 days of delivery. Returns may only be processed in the original country of purchase and require valid photo identification.
Please note: If PayPal is used for payment, all returned products must be sent by mail, not brought to physical TUMI stores.

International Return Policy
A product purchased within the U.S. borders must be returned within a physical TUMI Full Price retail store or physical TUMI Outlet store. The same goes for all countries. Returns must be made within the country of purchase. Tumi.com North America orders can be returned using the provided label. However Tumi.com orders purchased off of one of our internatoinal websites must also be returned to the country of purchase.
