        Comments about Diligence Backpack:

Agree with the other reviewer, this is a $300 bag. It's my 5th or 6th TUMI product in several years, and I have always been a huge advocate and promoter of these products.

This product has frayed straps, a frayed handle, and a number of nicks on the nylon. Cheap quality, and just not what you expect from a TUMI.

        Disappointing.

          Comments about Diligence Backpack:

I have been an avid supporter of TUMI merchandise since I bought my first tote bag in 2004 and continue to use it with minor repairs. In recent years I have bought about a dozen TUMI bags or luggages because of their unique style and most importantly singular functionality not seen in most brands.
That being said the Diligence back pack has been an unusually poor TUMI experience, I have had to return it for repairs twice and will likely go on a third after this current trip in less than a full year.
Reasons: Poor and weak stitching on the shoulder straps. It appears anything more than 5lbs in the pack over stretches the stitching and it rips visibly fraying and opening up the white cotton strapped internals. The numerous pockets appear convenient but the material (nylon?) almost always get in the way of zipper teeth without deliberate attempts to avoid it. Also, the top carry strap while very useful for off the shoulder carrying broke on my first bag in the first week when I had about 3 medium size books in it (about 5 lbs max). In my next return , I will request a different line of bags and pay the difference I would have already have spent $45 on returns/shipping repairs alone.
