Using the Tumi Site
Placing Your First Order
Placing an order at tumi.com is easy. There's no need to create an account first. You will have done that once you've placed your first order online. Tumi.com also accepts orders by phone and fax. To fax or phone an order just follow the instructions below to add items to your shopping cart, then click the "phone" or "Fax/Mail" link located below the "Proceed to Checkout" button.
Shopping/Finding Items
You will need to browse or search the site for the items you would like to order. A keyword search box is located at the top of every page of tumi.com. If your prefer to browse through our product selection just click one of tabs at the top of the site to find a more detailed category listing. When you find an item that interests you click the "see details" link to go to the product detail page. Here you will find important product information.
Adding Items to Your Shopping Cart
When you are ready to purchase an item, first select a color and then click the "buy online" button on the product detail page. This will take you to the shopping cart. If you then wish to continue shopping just click any of the tabs at the top of the site or browse our suggested items list in the cart. You can access the contents of your Shopping Cart at any time by clicking the your cart link or icon at the top of every page of tumi.com.
Proceed to Checkout
Take a moment to review all of the items you've placed in your Shopping Cart. Here you can update the quantity of your items, check the estimated arrival date, or clear your cart completely. If you decide that you don't want to purchase a particular item right away, click the "save for later" to move the item from your current Shopping Cart to the "Saved Items" list below. When you're ready to place your order click the "Proceed to checkout" button. You will be taken to the first page of the order form.
Signing In
Enter your e-mail address, indicate that you are a new customer, and click the "continue" button. (Keep in mind that the e-mail address you provide here will be the only e-mail address to which we can send information about subsequent orders.) Do not fill in the password field. You will be asked to provide a password for your account later in the process.
Entering a Shipping Address
Tell us where you would like to ship your order. If the item is a gift, you will have the opportunity to create a free Email Gift Card at the end of the order process. Please note: Tumi.com does not currently ship to P.O. Boxes, APO's, or FPO's, or to countries other than the U.S.
Select a Shipping Method
Consider how quickly you would like to receive your order, and choose a shipping method. Shipping times vary and do not include process times. We will estimate shipment and delivery dates for you on the order form, and in the order confirmation e-mail that you will receive after placing your order.
Provide a Password and Method of Payment
First, let us know how you would like to pay for your order. Tumi.com accepts American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, and tumi.com merchandise credits. If you're paying with a credit card, enter the number without spaces or dashes.
Next, please create a password with your account so that when you come back to tumi.com in the future, you can use the same shipping address and method of payment you provided during this first order. Make sure to write your password down somewhere so that you remember it the next time you place an order.
Review and Submit Your Order
Check the accuracy of all the information you provided and make any necessary adjustments. When you are ready, click the Place Your Order button to submit your order.
Order Confirmation
Once you place your order, we will send you a confirmation e-mail message. We will send you another e-mail message at the time of shipment.
